Some years back, Mel Gibson's ex, some woman named Oksana, released her secret recordings of arguments she had with him over the phone. Gibson was widely condemned as misogynistic. To be totally fair, he did really lay into her. He was obviously furious with her and ranted that it would be her fault of she got [bodily attacked and used for sex without consent]. They're ugly conversations. If you're curious, you can almost certainly find them online.

Now after knowing more about relationships, I can read between the lines. True, he did act like a major jerk with lots of verbal abuse, but she doesn't seem much better. You can tell she was totally using him, having him foot the bill for everything, and also annoying him by flirting with other men. Then she released these recordings of private conversations without his consent. So respecting a woman's consent is important, but the hell with a man's consent, right, Oksana? So Gibson isn't exactly a good guy, but she's just as bad as he is.

If you haven't heard the recordings, they're easily found. I think you'll find that my analysis is correct. Sure, Gibson is guilty of trash talk, but she's guilty of privacy violations. Of course, the feminists totally blamed him for his behavior and let slide what she did. Women never get held responsible for their behavior.
