Listen, learn, help... we need to do that to all abused people, man or woman, black, white, brown, rich, poor. People are hurting in all sorts of ways. Compassion is a strength, we need to bring it into action.

First time I told anyone about my abuse, I was 30, over twenty years after the fact. My now ex wife’s first words were, “are you going to abuse our kids?” Um, no but thanks for reminding me why I kept it to myself for all that time!

Unfortunately this only implies he was abused by a man. He wouldn’t have his sexuality questioned if it was a woman.
