There is legitimate and illegitimate jealousy (the latter also being a form of paranoia). No one should have to deal with legitimate causes for jealousy/insecurity in a relationship. Real reasons for jealousy are so common, that videos like this have to be made for men. Imagined jealousy would be stuff like your girlfriend works around a few guys and is not a total bitch to them and maybe they get a group lunch once in a while. Or she sometimes says hi to a guy she knows in public. Real jealousy is your girlfriend has male friends she speaks with privately at length and hangs out with one on one.

A poster here once stated that attachment of a man to a woman leads to the man acting in ways that will drive the woman off, cause her to mistreat him, etc. I think he worked in a buddhist reference where attachment causes suffering as well. His point was that the only relationship that could possibly work is one in which the male was not attached to the woman, did not love her. And that isn't a relationship a man would want to be in if he wanted emotional intimacy or caring. So that's why men can't have fulfilling relationships with women for longer term: the act of committing to them and attaching will cause the relationship to turn ugly.
