"Building a life together" is woman doublespeak, dont be fooled my man. In the past, it meant a woman would choose a man who may not have the looks, status, and wealth now, but one day he will and she'll walk by his side. Now, it means you need to have your shit together, a home, car, career, a good body, good social status, etc. And she will waltz in afterward and reap the spoils.

What does "building a life together" mean?

The guy basically pays 99.9% of everything and the woman can (and most do) sit on their arses enjoying the life of Riley but then to stick the knife in the guys back even further they'll break up with the guy (usually cheating on him with a loser) and now the woman gets to keep the house, car, a chunk of his savings, pension and if they have children, he'll suffer even more.

Marriage is a terrible deal for men but still men love to take the risk, so enjoy the rewards (for her).

Its an old fashion concept, where people would get married, and get a tent, and live in it while building a cabin, and milking a cow, and growing and storing food, and start adding to the cabin and planting fruit and nut trees, clearing more pasture, and then die about 45 from all the hard work...

All this carreer crap is only made possible by increased life expectancy.

Imagine the Feminist whiners if they only lived to 45...

Now they have this Utopia where they can rag about men for 80 years.

Personally I'm happy with the way things are now, they can support themselves, and nobody has to even pretend to give a schitt.

And glad I had them when they were young, and now dont have to look at an old toad over the breakfast table.

Funny how much it hurts at the time, and funny how good it is when you see the truth...

Anyway, I'm gonna go make a stew and biscuits to put in the freezer for me! Thats all the time I want to spend thinking about women..
