What if obesity is the reason for simping?

Consider this. 70% of the population is overweight/obese. Previously every single land whale you see in day to day life would have been of average size.

Perhaps this is the reason for the increased simpification of dating; the astronomically smaller pool of average women results in a completely disproportionate amount of attention being lavished upon women who are average at best. (But due to not being obese are now "hot".)

This would also increase the difficulty in online dating for men tremendously, because the pool of acceptable women for all men has gone down dramatically and thus simultaneously increased the relative price women can command in the SMP.
