Basically, the world is upside down, and I believe it's inevitable that draconian measures are eventually applied towards women when society descends to a catastrophic low point and things reset to something resembling our recent past. The essential problem is eventual demographic collapse of all advanced societies and then the rest of the world as they embrace feminism as well. Some might think the world would be a better place (less pollution) with a smaller population, but they are incorrect. All of our social safety nets such as medicare and social security depend on having an abundant younger population to fund the retirement of the elderly.

And we are already beginning to see the consequences of this. Housing costs have skyrocketed because of dual income households without children (or few) which are using their excess resources to bid up the long term cost of housing (despite the fact median incomes have remained stagnant for approximately 20 years now). This is a negative feedback loop as well, as housing becomes more expensive, it becomes more difficult for people who actually want children to reproduce. Each woman must have at least 2.1 children on average just to sustain a population in the long run. And yet the rate of reproduction has fallen dramatically below this critical threshold in most or all advanced societies.

This is ultimately a matter of survival. Not now perhaps, but someday in the distant future, things will reach a breaking point. Economies will suffer, the young will struggle to pay enough taxes and cover increasing costs of living as well. Corporations will continue to push small business and family businesses out of business, thus making it more difficult for a single breadwinner to support a family in the future than it already is. The luxury of having children will increasingly only be for the top 10-20% of society, whereas the bottom 80-90% will continue to languish. Automation will increasingly take away what good jobs remain for those without a college degree, squeezing families further.

By this time someone like me will stand up and speak the truth. What we have done is unsustainable. Women placing careers over families will be blamed for the unhappiness to follow. Childless taxes will be enacted to punish the wealthy childless couples who both work and horde their wealth in giant houses that will never hear the sound of children playing within them. People will grow to hate such individuals who selfishly pursue personal pleasure over family formation.

Dark days are ahead, someday.
