Basically r/MGTOW2 was created for the users who were deemed to be the mavericks of r/MGTOW1. The users who could no longer fit in r/MGTOW or who lacked rage were banned and had to create r/MGTOW2 . The reason of this sub's existence stems from these bad events. But I get your point. This sub has a lot of potential to do it's own things by itself and should no longer base the reason of its existence on r/MGTOW1

Except you forgot to note that the reason it is the "Top" post is because it's been "stickied" there.

The description is -- of course -- also a way of the main mod here to engage in a sort of "virtue signalling"; while at the same time sort of categorically "libelling" everyone at /r/MGTOW.

Highly unlikely. Much more likely is that this place only LACKS that because it's basically "under the radar" and has relatively low traffic & content; if/when the divorced-guy rants ever get categorically removed from /r/MGTOW (and/or a sufficient number of them get "banned" from there), they will very likely move over here.

I interpret it (personally) mgtow2 as a curated version of mgtow; this is done by statement of purpose and moderation. I personally feel that any mgtow male should be able to critically think and read, and be able to consume and participate in both subs without censure.

Not to be a noodge, but it kind of is a sour grapes sub. I mean 9 out of 10 posts here are whining about mgtow1.

I kinda prefer the original sub, if for no other reason than that you're statistically more likely to get a proper decent discussion. This sub is mostly bitching about the original without actually saying anything of value, which is sad, because the concept is good.

I dont read it that way. More like a warning up front to keep the shit posts that have ruined MGTOW1 off this subreddit.

The idea there is to drive home the difference between the subs. To make it clear that this sub is not just the place for people who have been banned over there to post the same crap they did there.

It is. More often than I'd like. Too many people don't seem to understand what this sub is about. Maybe they're not reading the description. Maybe they don't care. We end up removing a lot of posts because people don't seem to get it. Ideally people would post that sort of content elsewhere, in subs more appropriate to it.

I'm open to suggestions if anyone wants to offer one. How could we describe the sub that makes it clearer what sort of content is and is not welcome here?

Because it's important to differentiate. We don't want people coming here thinking that it's just a replacement for the original sub. It's not.
