Based on google trends, it's easy to see that searches for "mgtow" and "redpill" have declined slightly in recent years.

Don't get excited OP. In the final days of Rome, men were going their own way (bachelor taxes were imposed to force men to marry). But in the end, what truly struck women wasn't the absence of their men but the invading barbarians' maces to their heads.

Of course it's going to have an influence. It's only a matter of time before all men know of MGTOW. Whether they are for it or against it. The thing is that MGTOW has a lot of facts and truths behind it. So whether people don't like it, it will always have a ground to stay on. Until Society, governments, and women, understand the movement, it will always be known.

Maybe in the future MGTOW will be a phase, but looking at the current events, it will continue. Every man married or single can relate to the movement. So it's only logical that it will continue.

Marriage doesn't make sense because it is too expensive for men to pay for it, based on the conditioned expectations of society. It doesn't necessarily mean people don't want to get married, they just don't see the formalities as necessary.

MGTOW by fundamentals is just someone (anyone) doing their own thing and living a happy life their own way. It was never about "marriage bad", but "modern" marriage conditions being so unfavourable toward men did force a necessary evolution of male behaviour.

Unless there are strict laws in place keeping women's hypergamy in check, with the legal system the way it is it makes no sense to marry a woman who's just going to get bored with you and leave you and take all your money at some point anyways. It's basic biology. It's nothing personal it just is the way it is.

You're quite an optimist in my opinion. Marriage rate is plummeting, which is a good thing, yes. It more or less has no reason to exist anymore, anyway. This being said, I see more and more men being screwed without even needing to be married; not to mention that having kids even if you aren't married is also just as much of a recipe for a disaster. The people talking about how marriage is terrible on social networks are mainly using it as a scapegoat to avoid facing the fact that relationships between men and women themselves are walking on their head nowadays. It's a fad that started a while ago because of the whole "anything that is old is terrible!" and doesn't mean anything if people don't understand why it's terrible.

If marriage disappears, the system will adapt, and divorce raping will end up with another name, and that's about it, really. Worst case scenario, they'll consider that you have the same responsibilities you have when you are married if you are in any long-term relationship and the woman can prove it. Best case scenario, we will have a marriage-lite using another name and people will be ok with it because "it's not marriage, it's something else". It always works this way.

Marriage itself probably will die soon enough, great, it can just fuck off as far as I'm concerned, but I seriously doubt that it will change things because only aknowledging that part of the problem is begging for history to repeat itself, nd humans will continue to have relationships and a lot of the problems are cultural. If anything, the extend to which men will be willing slaves will become even worse because they'll have the illusion of freedom, which is a dangerous thing.
