I'm getting up to speed on TRP. Much of it has been eye opening, but I just realized something that might be the biggest epiphany yet and I had to post.

After our last child was born, my wife told me that I should get a vasectomy. Thinking that this was 1) reasonable, 2) would mean we could get rid of condoms and 3) would lead to increased sex since I was doing this rather than having her go on the pill or getting her tubes tied (covert contract), I followed her suggestion.

You might guess what happened.

Did our sex life amp up? Did she appreciate that I had my sperm decommissioned? (The procedure hurt, btw)

Damned if she wasn't put off sex afterwards. I don't think our sex life recovered until I took the red pill (years later). I think I should have said, "I'm not getting a vasectomy. You go on the pill." Looking back, a guy who will go get a vasectomy to make his wife happy is... well, let's say I'm not surprised at her reaction now.

Looking back, I can see three stages of my beta-dom, marked by three pivotal events. First was marriage. I think the vasectomy was the second hit. The third, strangely, was after I became successful and made a lot of money (I have a theory on that, btw, and I'll explain perhaps in a future post).

I hope some of you take this as a warning. Oh, and thank you red pillers. Things are a lot better now.
