There have been a lot of new posters to OYS in the last few weeks. And a lot of people banned for Rule 9.

We get a stack of modmail each week from people banned who don't understand the rules. While often amusing, it would be better for you to actually do some work before you post.

In addition to people banned, we have a lot of new posters who either don't realise that this takes actual work, or are just hoping that other posters will sort out their lives for them. You are the people who won't last longer than three weeks. Fortunately most of you are smart enough to just disappear rather than making us ban you.

There are no excuses for a poor quality OYS post. The information is out there already:

And no excuse for not understanding the rules. They are on the sidebar of reddit new, and easily found if you do a quick search:

Some of you get very upset when you get banned. What you fail to realise is that MRP does not need you. This is a place for men to exchange notes on sexual strategy. When your input consists of 'I'm terrible and I have no idea what I'm doing', tell me how that particular note is of any use to MRP.

Having said that, people will comment and point out your blind spots when you are actually putting in your own work. That is, you're actively trying to find your blind spots and are actively trying to address them.

Going forward, I'll be coming down harder on new OYS posters who are avoiding putting in the work.

In the end, its up to you to make your choice.
