This doesn't resonate with me. I can see how it might work for someone else, but not me.

I like being attractive. I like the attention, respect, admiration and quality sex that it gets me. A lot of the stuff I do to be attractive is not something I particularly want to do. It's work, and I do it because I like the metaphorical paycheck I get when the work is done.

If left to my own devices I'd eat shit, play games, watch porn, and argue politics online. I greatly prefer straight talk and I feel a lot better pointing out the error in people's logic and losing the argument instead of engaging power talk and winning it. And so on.

There's a huge gap between who I am and what I want. I've chosen the path of strategy and self discipline to get what I want instead of just being myself.

That post wasn't about whether we should try to figure her out. It's a counter-argument to the anger phase kids in TRP who think women have it easy when it comes to relationships. They don't, but it is not our job to solve all their problems for them. They have to advocate for themselves and seek happiness for themselves.

It is not our job to model our relationship with her into the one that she says is ideal for her. It is not our job to pretend to be someone else and be miserable just to create a fantasy life for her.
It is our job to be the best version of ourselves and ensure our own happiness in our relationships.
It is her job to advocate for herself and seek the life she wants.
IMHO it is also her job to be the best version of herself, which is an effort that you can subtly influence but not control.

Here's the MRP spin: If your own path to happiness and hers are complementary, then you will stay together.

Beside's what u/IrateMD said, this article puts the playing field into perspective.

"We" always think about how fucked up our options are due to hypergamy etc and the fact that attractive women don't see average guys, but the reality is, for most situations we can correct the issues that downgrade us in SMV.

The woman have an overall bigger issue - the wall and their own inability to see reality clearly.

SO, we can use the information to our own benefit. Not for their benefit, but for whatever we want to use it for.
