I don't really see it as a slur, but it definately is thrown around too much, like in the example of this post. I've genuanely been called a incel for simply acknowledging the existence of male victims. The word is just loosing its meaning, I don't think it's offensive.

This thought is literally the issue. You can be sexist to men, you can be racist to white people. These words didn't just stop meaning the same thing because a bunch of idiots started using them wrong.

I was sexually assaulted by women (girls really) when I was young. No one took my feelings seriously, male or female.

The sad reality is that a lot of people don’t support male victims. You don’t need to single out women; for every woman who laughed at me there was a man too.

Why? I never said that women's experiences aren't valid, i'm just trying to point out that men can also go through horrible things. The "makeup" comparisen may sound mean or stupid, but it feels oddly true. I've seen girls straight up laugh at male abuse victims and invalidating their experiences, ASPECIALLY when their abuser is female. I'm not trying to shit on female activists or women as a whole, i'm just sick of being called a incel for acknowledging that men get hurt too.
