Many of us, myself included, used to be in miserable families like yours. Furthermore, my citizenship status was also really sketch due to long history outside of my control (it's a long story), meaning I spent my entire childhood with the specter of getting kicked out of the countries I was living in. I had a very negative relationship with my parents, and to this day it's complicated even tho I've been happily living by myself for years and things have somewhat healed

Furthermore, like most young people, I too had very serious moments of planning suicide or..... Worse. I'm not gonna get into details but.... Let's just say, I'm so so happy I never acted on those thoughts. Because after many years of luck, hard work, and careful planning, in a much better place mentally, financially, socially

I'm telling you the truth.

A) don't do it. It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Might not feel temporary.

You don't know if they are temporary, they can stay with me till rest of my days.

B) antidepressants are an easy way to get a little less down. If you
don't want to go thru the whole doctor thing, try 5HTP and St John's
Wort from the drug store.

Are easy way to feel less down if you have access to them, I don't have access to them.

C) in your comment above you defended yourself and pushed back on that
guy. What that says is that somewhere inside you, you believe you're
important.

My depression just made me mean lol, I know he wanted to help and do good, but it happens so many times that it just stop being funny, if you feel like telling story of your life just make post about it somewhere (for sure there is place for it), just don't dump it on poor depressed people, idc about me cus I already lost hope in people, but I hope this guy won't do same for other people in shitty situation

I can’t relate to everything, but definitely a few things in there. During covid I was super suicidal and dreaded waking up every day. I would fantasize about getting hit by trucks or getting in a deadly car crash. Not enjoyable in any conceivable way.

I was horny as fuck, lonely, and felt pretty unloved. Masturbation and porn only helped for maybe an hour. I wanted a girlfriend so bad, but I was so anxious I couldn’t even make proper conversation with one.

I had no significant hobbies, was out of shape, jobless, out of school, and generally hopeless. I couldn’t think of a single meaningful accomplishment, and the only two options I could see in the next 5 years were: death, or shitty 9-5

I would say I’m generally pretty happy with life nowadays. I’ve finally got people around me, more stable mental health, long term goals, a good job, and working on a degree.

I have no idea how I ended up here really. If you would have told me two years ago I would be where I am today, I would have laughed in your face.

The only reason my life improved is I just kept going. Depression clouded my view of the world, and made everything feel bleak and hopeless.

Please just keep going homie. I bet you feel stuck, and hopeless, and see no way else out, that’s how I felt at least, but I promise you things are better than they seem. Depression and suicidal thoughts are a bitch.

If you’re feeling like you want to seek outside help, I can vouch for therapy and medication. I started Zoloft during one of the worst periods and it really helped. From there I went to a therapist who helped me see the ways that I actually could be happy, which I didn’t see before.

Please just keep going dawg.
