I’m a 37 year old male. I’ve worn traditional loose boxer shorts since I was a kid. When I would play sports I’d switch to something with support, but I was anxious to get out of them as soon as possible. Fast forward to 2023 and the majority of men have switched over to boxer briefs. If you go to a big chain retail store it’s almost impossible to find boxer shorts. But here’s the thing - the new fabrics and designs (pouch) are actually not bad. For some reason though I can’t make myself switch. I think part of it is I grew up in an environment where boxer shorts were associated with masculinity - I know it’s stupid. Anyway - I thought I’d post so I can get some intelligent feedback from a psychological perspective.
