Alimony needs to be outright abolished. If you choose to take the risk and be a stay at home spouse, you're being paid up front in the form of NOT having to go to work, NOT sacrificing 8, 12, or 16 hours a day in a job you probably hate, and having all of your worldly needs provided for. Getting paid by this up front, and then asking for money on the back end after a divorce is double dipping and it has to stop. There's no need for alimony anyway as a former spouse can go out and get a JOB. Boofuckinghoo if you start at ground zero, that's the consequences of having accepted being provided for for all those years.
