Taking care of the children you yourself brought in the world through your own actions is not "unpaid work." It's form of self-maintenance.
The world's over-populated.
Giving birth to children is polluting the globe in a lot of different ways. Your role in the requisite clean-up in not reimbursable labor, nor should it be.
No, the product of paid labor is not consumed by the person himself that doing the labor, or his children. It is consumed by others. That's why you get paid for it.
There's this thing called money. When "others" consume the products of his labor, as you say, he gets paid money. Thats why its called "paid labor". So you see, self-maintenance all around.
Good god. For all the money we spend on education, it's truly miraculous that the analytical capabilities of the students it produces degrades every year.
Money is a medium of exchange. When person A produces a good or service for person B, person B transfers currency ("store of value") in equivalent value to person A in compensation for the good or labor provided by A.
The good or service has a value. The exchanged currency has a value, which is generally the same.
When person A performs a good or service for herself, then person A is both the producer of the good or service, and the recipient. If there must be an exchange for currency, then the person who provides that currency must by necessity be person A.
So sure, feel free to pay yourself for your "unpaid work." You will be no richer than you were when you started -- and in fact, if you wish to operate as your own employee receiving a salary, you will be poorer by virtue of having to pay an income tax on the money that you pay to yourself.
But in no circumstance may a person produce a good or service for their own consumption, and in addition expect to be paid an exchange of currency for that labor. Because in that circumstance the person would be both the recipient of the good or product, and the money provided as compensation for it. To allow this would in fact be represent a form of double spend. Other acceptable terminologies for this include counterfeit, fraud, or simply theft.
You are quick to assume a lot of things about my position. You seem happy to peg me as an enemy in areas where we actually agree. You have good points, but your antagonistic attitude, paired with your condescending verbosity, is exasperating.
