Funny how a lot of feminists will claim "That feminism can help both women and men". Yet those same feminists will revert back to gender specific visions when it comes to egalitarianism//MRA, then it becomes "well those people don't care about women issues !!".

Female MRA here, I’m a sexual abuse survivor but my abusers were women so I had a really hard time relating to most Feminists Survivors and women in general. I ended up in the MRA community bc of my support group who are mostly male survivors. I love this community and I’m proud to be a part of it

I like how a message to lurkers is so vastly different between MensRights and FDS. Here we have amazing OP willing to have a respectable discussion in the comments and in dms with any lurker/anyone about their opinions. You go over to the latter, and there they have a special flair called, “message to male lurkers” with something obviously misandrist and having the discussion closed off save women that only practically believe in the exact same ideals as FDS.

Hiya, female lurker here.
I initially joined this sub just to compare and contrast. I make it a point to always get both angles. So I joined subs like FDS and similar ones at the same time as I joined MGTOW, this sub and similar ones to see both the male and female versions and how/where they differ.

MGTOW got banned obviously, and FDS banned me for saying something they didnt like. I guess i would consider myself some kind of feminist? But I'm apparently not the kind of feminist other feminists like.

Oh well... I'll shut up now and go back to lurking.

Labels are something i abhor in these situations. A lot of people here would happily agree to "women having equal rights and opportunities" which is the exact definition of feminism. But would scorn the idea of "feminism" because its become a garb at times for outrageous claims of victimhood. Where does the line of victimhood end and where does the responsibility begin. When one realises that everyone is victim to discrimination and rigid rules on their own gender. Even men, feminism doesn't become an important exclusive ideology in the domain of equality of sexes. Egalitarianism would step in at that point. But people have fought hard to maintain that the label "feminism" is the only good thing when discussions of gender discussions start up. Every blame is piled onto the "Patriarchy" which is then stuck upon the idea of masculinity in general and you isolate a whole other gender as the perpetrator. You cannot claim to only use gendered insults against one specific gender like "Mansplaining" and "Manspreading" and expect this to contribute in any way to a healthy discussion with healthy outcomes.

Its the powerhungry, hate the other gender, everything good feminine, everything bad masculine attitude that pisses me off.

Have your marches, have your speeches and spew your dictums. But don't invalidate others when they disagree and do their own thing.

This is building on number 2, I believe that alot of men's issues are caused by societal phenomena that BOTH men and women uphold.

This sounds suspiciously like the 'patriarchy hurts men too' theory.

A great many of men's issues are caused directly by feminism, for example the feminist written Violence Against Women Act literally defines DV as something only men do to only women. It not only denies men recognition as victims, it denies them any resources. And once they added the Duluth Model, it literally requires police to arrest male DV victims of females. This did not just happen, it was a direct result of feminism.

Ideologies are useful tools but should not be treated as some sort of all illuminating system that reveals the one true nature or structure of the world. Many of the axioms set forth by any of these ideologies are not foundationally true but that doesn't discredit that value that each of them can provide. Instead of adopting dogmatic absolutist worldviews that seek to boil our entire reality down to a digestible and consistent set of axioms we need to recognize that every person experience shapes their own perspective and their values are going to reflect that. It doesn't mean that these values are at odds with each other even if they are seemingly contradictory. This is the exact reason true diversity is important. Different backgrounds and experiences will illuminate the importance of different values. We have to be able to work together in order to find the sum total of all of these values to understand what is truly important. We can't do that unless we interact with each other with the understanding that every person has their own unique values that the world has taught them. Understanding what shapes these values is what helps people grow and understand each other. This holds especially true the people that you disagree with the most.

In general its dumb that its has come to a point where two sides looking for better treatment are at each others throats because bad apples of both sides are allowed or get away with causing mayhem when both sides could have human to human unionize to speed up the result of such rights. Ofcourse, its up to the people not the governments as they will do what suits them and will contunue to do such as they dont have such issues in their lives

I do blame women for men's issues but not as much as I blame men for men's issues. In fact, a woman can't do shit to a strong man however, most men these days aren't strong. They have sex with only one woman(It's awful and not natural for men to do this) and they actually try to attract women when their real job is giving energy on creating something on the planet. Women will wait in line to suck their dick. Either way, men should give the last priority for women. Every women are like that too(with few exceptions who shouldn't be even considered because the percentage is that low.) Again, men should care about their issues rather than issues of women.

Not really, women are playing a game. Every single one of them. Have you ever heard a news about a girl getting raped? Every guys and girls give immense coverage for that and the rapist usually get punishments which they deserve to get but have you ever seen false rape accusers who tarnish the image of men getting the same punishments or even negative publicity? Women never talk about it - Not because they know about it but they actively tried to suppress it from reaching more people to protect themselves. What's happening now is that men are becoming proud misogynists and that's a good thing because that's probably the only way to stop feminism.

Let me tell you something, you shouldn't have said that you wouldn't insult them because doesn't that really mean many women do insult men? I'd say, crush them before they show their power.

I am happy about one thing. The world is going through an amazing change and I am loving it. Women are trying their level best to come back but hey if women got feminism, men have misogyny, sigma male, redpill, Masculinism, Masculism, MGTOW, MRA, MRM, Anti-feminism and a lot more. The Manosphere is growing so fast. In fact, it's the fastest growing thing right now and it's growing all over the world.

My stances might be extremely radical and I am proud of that because that's exactly what's going to change the world, not some love for females. Put them back in their places. That's what I think and that's happening and that's working. Most men are pussies these days.

If you put these things in your last priority list, you'll grow amazingly - Women, Sex, Porn, Relationships.

By the way, when you give these less priority, people will shower you with these things. I am yet to understand why but this is how the world works. With women, never ever argue or discuss - Just do things with them. It doesn't matter if they like it or not. It's great if they hate it.

I think it’s important to understand that being a feminist does not mean that you hate men or don’t agree that they have their own injustices to face. Just because you fight for women doesn’t mean you’re against men, and vice versa.

Far too many people see one group progress and view that as another being neglected or ignored.

That’s the issue with things like the men’s rights movement, it feels as if they’ve been created solely to counter feminism, when feminism itself is liberating to men as well

But as a simple comment, I think that what is cited above falls within the definition of any rational feminism. In fact, that is why being a man I consider myself a feminist ... Problems related to the gender difference affect both men and women.
