State Street is, IMHO, one of the sleeziest, most down-low dirty financial organizations you will ever deal with. They're always trying to get some unfair, unjust, sketchy, or immoral advantage over the the rest of the market.

According to accounts for 2019-20, Prerana Issar joined NHS England as chief people officer in April 2019 on an annual salary of between £230,000 and £235,000 – equivalent to the salaries of nine newly qualified nurses or the cost of 20 hip replacement operations.

I've worked for the NHS and one thing that it definitely does not have a problem with is "diversity". Women are vastly over represented as are ethnic minorities.

Funny thing where I work, they fired the boss to save money, he was Korean American (naturalized US citizen.) They kept the white guy (me.) They have also had to hire one woman in China, two Indian guys in US, two Indian guys in India.

Let's just say, they're not good with money.

Note I cannot tell you which investment bank I work at...

I only have ~35000 in one of their ETFs but it's obviously being moved on Monday to an alternate (and interestingly lower fee) company providing the same sector ETF... XLU -> VPU

Reverse discrimination is discrimination but they don't seem to see it that way. This is why I feel your best to leave the United States and go to other countries

This is because in their effort to right the discrimination people have felt, they're going to oversteer. Instead of hiring people in proportion to their amount of the population, which would be a step in eventually evening out the playing field, they're going to start hiring only POC. This will obviously get them there quicker, but I guarantee there are no fail-safes to stop the practice once equilibrium is obtained. They're going to hire people to where eventually black, Latino, Asian, women etc are going to be represented at a higher percentage than their population. This will happen soon enough, and has already started in lower paying type jobs. In the millennial and Gen Z demographics, women are already outnumbering men at almost every level of business they're in. It's the jobs the GenX and Boomers are in are the ones that are still misrepresented. We're overcorrecting hard as a society and event high it's laughable that white men are being discriminated against, the numbers will show otherwise by the end of the decade. It's time to make your name sound more ethnic if you want the algorithm to pick you resume.
