Notice how everyone in the comments brings up her skin colour but not gender. Even though the latter has a statistically higher impact on sentencing. 6 times higher to be precise.

The real story is how the media and politicians are using this to push pr0paganda. The people most responsible for this were working in The Capital and in the news media and those people should be going to jail. But unfortunately the gaslighting has worked and the public is convinced their fellow citizens are the problem and not the corrupt leaders .

Somehow several dozen to a few hundred unarmed people managed to "storm" the capital, after which they mostly milled around and/or took dumb selfies and then left voluntarily when asked.

How the fuck do you explain that? Insurrection? You can't expect anybody to believe that. It's obvious bullshit.

Should the people who did illegal things be punished? Obviously, and pretty much nobody credible has said otherwise. Were the people who organized the "security" who fucked this up responsible for the situation? Obviously.

Yet nobody really seems to want to ask the question of how a handful of unorganized crazy people got a non-consensual unguided tour of the capitol. Why is that?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
