I thought that child support was suposed to be for the chillllllllllllldren and it's not about money, it's About The Children and the Wellbeing of The Children Is A Very Serious Issue. And yet here are children who are suffering because of CS enforcement, and what is the state doing about it?

It's not about kids at all. The government could not give two half-effort shits about children. The government (especially the parts of the government that profit from the CS slave trade, like judges and CS enforcement office drones) cares about dead presidents.

It's amazing that laws can directly deny the obvious and nobody in power is willing to change them.

IF a man denies paternity and a DNA test verifies his claims, he should not be responsible for a single penny of child support, medical bills etc.

IF a woman knowingly falsely accuses a man of being the father to obtain monetary compensation she should be charged with fraud and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

To make a man responsible for child support for a child that is proven isn't his is, and then to incarcerate him is insane.

I just can't comprehend why this isn't fixed everywhere. It is probably one of the most clearest examples of common sense, yet our lawmakers refuse to correct the problem.

Has anyone ever seen someone in power address the issue and try to justify why it is like this? I would really love to see how they could even attempt to make a case for this type of injustice.

The law did what's right - but only to a point. It released the man because he's not the father and removed him from accruing new debt.

The law failed, because it didn't eliminate already missed child support payments.

The law also failed by not requiring DNA tests for any order of child support.

The woman did what's right - but only to a point. She released the man from what is clearly a faulty debt.

The woman failed, because she accused a man who clearly wasn't the father in the first place.

This unfortunately isn't anything new. I've heard of other cases where DNA evidence has refuted fatherhood claims in California, but those men were still on the hook for child support. It was because the prosecutors cared more about someone paying to support a child, then actually finding the responsible party.

I would think that this guy could get the ACLU on his side. This should be right up their alley. In fact I can't believe that they wouldn't get more involved in these types of situations. They can't just spend their time suing schools for posters with prayers on them, can they?
