Somebody contact Schick and suggest they offer to replace Gillette's sponsorship. That would make it an easy decision for Movember and if Schick announced their new sponsorship soon, in the wake of Gillette's massive footbullet, it would only help them take even more of Gillette's market share.

OK, I have contacted Movember Australia and Schick Australia, suggesting to each that it would be in their benefit to replace Gillette's sponsorship of Movember with sponsorship by Schick.

I'll paste the Australian links and the messages I sent below, for anyone who wants to do something similar.

After Gillette released a video ad which demonises and denigrates both men and masculinity, a large number of men now feel that they are an inappropriate sponsor for your organisation. Remaining aligned with a company that publicly disparages men in this way will only discourage men from associating with the organisation and its activities.

Please consider finding a new sponsor to replace Gillette/P&G.

Both Schick and Dollar Shave Club are acquiring large numbers of new customers right now, as men quit using Gillette products after decades as customers, in many cases. There is a good chance that either or both companies would welcome the opportunity to become a sponsor and publicise their support for men in contrast to Gillette's demonisation of men.

Please invite them to replace Gillette. Future Movember events will be better received and more successful without Gillette's involvement.

I hope that you are currently enjoying a substantial uptick in sales as a result of men dumping Gillette following their public demonisation of men & masculinity.

I'm sure you're aware that there is enormous anger about Gillette's behaviour among men right now. As a result, it is an especially sore point that one of the very few high-profile campaigns to help men - Movember - is sponsored by Gillette, a subsidiary of P&G which demonstrably hates men including its male customers.

I'd like to encourage your company to contact Movember and talk with them about taking over sponsorship of the event from Gillette. They may be looking to distance themselves from Gillette's negative image among men and it would be an especially big win for your company in the current circumstances.

You are already benefiting from simply not being Gillette. If you step up to Movember sponsorship in their place as well, you will generate enormous goodwill and attract an even bigger percentage of ex-Gillette customers.

Please give this suggestion serious consideration. This moment in time offers a rare opportunity for your company and sponsoring Movember would be a great way to maximise the benefit to your company.
