Did MRAs get diaper changing stations put into men's rooms?

I dunno about MRAs, but I got one put into my local Target.

Change a shitty diaper on the floor by the customer service counter and things happen.

"Excuse me, sir. What are you doing?" 'Changing a diaper. No changing table in the mens room.' "Oh...ok..."

And two weeks later there was one in the mens room.

I see no reason to be milquetoast about this. If they don't like it, they can damned well install a changing table that I can use.

The NCFM got them put in at some airports. It may well have helped start a trend.

When you think of it, what is a father supposed to do if he needs to take care of his kids?

Bring a changing mat and change them on the counter or the floor (on the mat).

While I'm happy they have these changing stations, not having them never stopped me from taking care of my kids.

Absolutely worst case scenario, I would (and have) taken them out to the van to change them.

Nope this is one thing feminists (sort of) did for men. I think their motivation was so that women could shove baby duty on to men, but regardless of their motivations they did lobby for it.

The other example of feminists doing something for men was a brief time in the 80s I think when NOW was a friend of the court on an anti-selective service lawsuit trying to overturn the all male draft.

Possibly a third issue which was definitely not their intention where feminists helped men, was when they created DV shelters that housed female aggressors (not just victims) so as to boost their numbers artificially. By giving the female aggressors a place to go the number of men killed by their wives rapidly decreased to something like half the rate for women (they had been about equal). The number of women killed by male partners remained the same.

And those three are all I can think of of all the issues that feminists might be said to have helped men over the decades.

I recall one article, many years ago, about "nappy terrorism" such as WoodChucking mentioned above. Although the article recommended the food court because there are tables there and it causes maximum offense. :)

Tough question. Difficult to say as many people had their hands in it. The father's rights people (a section of the broader mom which the mainstream media / feminists refuse to associate with the mom due to it's popularity) started it. It gained popularity with the broader parental groups and would later become a feminist "issue" as feminists tend to try and coopt men's issues they can't stop.

I would say that it was something the mom brought about as it was father's groups who first pushed it. Social change is achieved by building colstions. If that's not the case then feminism achieved nothing either since they didn't affect change on their own either.

What happened was a guy was upset that there were only changing rooms in female bathrooms, so he got himself a lawyer and sued a big chain...I think Target way back in the early 1990s.
