Yes, this is the very definition and proof of the gynecocentrism in our society. As early as the eighties people considered women better and now we've had 40 years of constant attacks on mens very nature as a sub-species. This is why society doesn't believe men are good for anything. A well funded carefully executed feminist invention.

Consider how we focus on domestic violence against women when study after study shows women initiate more domestic violence than men do.

I think it's certainly something that many feminist organisations have harnessed to further their causes and explains a hell of a lot - think family courts, the sentencing gap and more wider the generic empathy gap. The real thing we need to know is how to overcome this and I fear the will to do research into that would be supremely lacking.

WOW effect is an oversimplified explanation which doesn't explain the full picture. It misses the forest for the trees.

If this was indeed true, then why does no one take women seriously as a Threat in the same way we take Men's aggression seriously? I know that most women are not interested in looking tough&assertive but the women that do want to look tough&assertive find it nearly impossible to do so. WOW effect can't explain this but infantilization does. People infantalize Women, Women are to be coddled&protected Socially but as a trade off, they're not considered as tough,capable&dangerous in the same way Men are.

We also think that Children are wonderful but we don't think they're as capable as Men, either.
