A discussion about metoo and it’s dangerous effects for men should be discussed
[–]BleedinSkull 90 points91 points92 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The irony in asking for gender equality while making Nation Sons Day a day about problems of males rather than pride was already a piss in the face.
But the #metoo movement? The movement that labels you automatically as a rapist and refuses to believe you as nothing but a rapist, sometimes even after proven innocent? The movement the accepts false accusations despite how fake or lackluster they may sound? The movements that's so toxic towards males to the point that some don't even want to be around women anymore? Oh yeah, the movement that only accepts female accusations as fact and male accusations as a joke? That toxic, shitty joke of a movement?
I really want to see if a clown in full makeup and getup wrote this article.

Happy cake day!

Long story short...
Daughters' day is about daughters. Sons' day is also about daughters.

Daughter's day advice: Your daughter is an admirable person, make sure as a father to bond with her and read about the other great daughters! Make this day a golden memory!
Son's day advice: Your son is a privileged person for being born with a penis, make sure to also tell him that he's automatically a rapist despite being innocent. Oppress your son and make him feel guilty for being himself.

Hm
[–]p3ngwin 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
yet when it's "international women's day", and men suggest there should be an equivalent "international men's day", the feminists/SJW's/PC-crowd/etc say "oh every day is 'men's day', can't women have just one to themselves?"
[–]Lion_amongst_gods 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"oh every day is 'men's day', can't women have just one to themselves?"
I've seen a lot of retards give me this question.
My response: If every day is men's day, why did you forget to wish me 364 times last year?

Yeah talk to your son about how he's going to have to compete against all these others guys in STEM because most of the women in his class will have jobs reserved for then when they graduate
Tell your son to keep his distance from women so he doesn't get #metooed. How's that :)
[–]mcavvacm 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If I'd ever get a son, I would most definitely raise him to be wary of the dangers women pose to him as a growing young lad.
Within reasonable parameters though, no fear mongering or paranoia.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it happened but do you have a source or information that could lead me to finding one?

Also government own figures women receive $6 billion per year more than men for government grants pell grants I think they are called.... also men who dont sign up for draft cant get them
[–]Fjorge0411 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Honestly makes me glad there are people trying to fix some of these issues.
[–]CertainCrow1 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
About the STEM thing? I was talking more about when they graduate. I know at least in our industry a lot of the new hires are women but when you look at the program's they're like less than 10% of the grad class
[–]savagemonkey501 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
lmao dude i go to a STEM college and the classes are still like 90% male, minimum. i don’t think any sons have to worry about that
[–]CertainCrow1 23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Sorry I meant jobs when they graduate. Woke. Less than 10% of class but half of our junior hired always women
[+]savagemonkey501 -21 points-20 points-19 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
ok but how much of that is probably “reserved spots” for women, and how much is just like, women who earned a job?
[–]CertainCrow1 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
When you have 40 guys all going for a job and you have 4 girls and they hire 3 girls.. then yeah I highly doubt the other guys just werent as qualified . All fresh grads so...
In fact they were looking for some junior engineers. My buddy had a couple years of experience, still junior, also had a master's in math on top of his engineering, and I recommended him and everything.. yet they hired a girl fresh out of school instead. Not even an interview. As far as I know she didn't have any connection but could be wrong on that part.its just become a well know thing. Diversity hires in general will get the job if qualifications close enough
[–]cld8 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If STEM graduates are 90% male and entry level employees are much less than that, there is most likely discrimination at work.
[+]throwlaja1 points 3 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
If you have 3 girls in class they can destroy the life of about 10 guys falsely accusing them of shit until somebody start suspecting.
[–]savagemonkey501 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
i mean, sure? but that applies to literally any situation with any number of guys and girls. that’s also literally not what we’re talking about lmao
[–]nathanielsnider 32 points33 points34 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
this is literally what they're saying
daughter day - teach them about all the great women and give them hope
great. That sounds nice
sons day - have a serious talk about the metoo movement and make them feel bad
no. That doesn't sound nice.

As a father to all the genders, this pisses me off.
[–]FeralTeddy 60 points61 points62 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Hungry_Mr_Hippo 28 points29 points30 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The best part is the " father's need to be good roll models for this behaviour" all the while they deny father's the right to see, speak, or protect their children.

I hate it when they act like men are naturally evil and bad towards women. Reading this makes my blood boil.

[–]ApprehensiveMail8 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We should absolutely have a #metoo conversation on national sons day.
Begin by asking your son if he thinks it is fair to assume girls are telling the truth and boys are lying.
Then shut up and listen.
[–]nacho-chonky 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Why is this ok? This is downright sexism, like a human rights violating, oppressed class kinda thing, how the fuck do these feminists get away with it?
[–]Nath43673 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I can't find anything about this except on this site, which seems to be a site for manufacturing national days? They have a separate National Sons Day and separate National Daughters Day too.
The content on the site seems to be a weird mix of traditional conservativism and "gender equity" newspeak.
Check out this bizarre and sexist proverb at the top of the National Daughters Day page:
“A son is a son ’til he takes him a wife; a daughter is a daughter all of her life.” —Irish proverb
Geez, why not the one about snicks and snails?
And how patronising is this: "Only you know what your boys need most on National Sons Day".
Translation: "We don't even have enough imagination or knowledge about the needs of boys to suggest something, but this whole thing is really about protecting women and girls, and we had to include something to make it seem like we also care about boys and men."
On the current page for National Sons Day, they seem to have replaced this point with "Enjoy a healthy breakfast."
[–]GmanTEM02 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Wait, there’s a national daughter’s and national son’s day?
[–]Flame_sid 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"Oh and have fun " seriously? That's all they have to say?
[–]Carebarehair 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I point out that men have built everything. I point my finger in any direction and I ask "Who built that?" "Who put that there?" "Who installed that?"
The answer is always men!
It really cheers them up.
I then explain how some women are never happy. They have everything - they live in unimaginable comfort - they have never gone hungry in their lives - we even drown so that they can get the last place in the lifeboats - and it's still not enough. I tell them to avoid those types of women!

And boys will become more and more disenfranchised which will have dire consequences that will actually lead to more violence against women, how stupid can you be and women think they make better leaders than men with actions and decisions like this it proves they make stupid decisions that get praised and acted upon. No wonder the people think that the world is more racist today than in 1960..

Want to see a fun challenge? Ask a teacher to devise a lesson plan where the students come up with positive things about each gender that don't apply to the other.
[–]maxcorrice 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Notice how the last point encourages to let the daughter take the lead, but the son should have his day pre planned
[–]sanrio-sugarplum 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The point about gender equality and families doing whatever works for them is pretty important... but it's not a good way to celebrate your son lol. Feminists act like boys are born sexist and need to be indoctrinated.
[–]_vedantt1_ 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Lendari 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Tmomp 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's a shame as men all we'll do on our own is oppress women. I'm glad they're so good that they can teach us to be allies in their valiant fight against the sexism we create.

Cater to girl, pressure and discipline boys, isnt that how toxic femininity and toxic masculinity arise?
Also what if my son's gay and doesn't engage with women to need to learn about all that stuff?
[–]baconpalacio -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Is this because women can do no wrong?
