In this documents defense, it is referring specifically to human trafficking. That is an issue that definitely targets women and children at an overwhelmingly higher rate than it does men.
Boys and men are just as likely to victims of human trafficking as girls and women but less likely to be identified and reported according to the non-profit save the children.
That site really only pinpoints information about boys being trafficked. As boys would be included in the category of children, it doesnt seen to disprove what I said at all. Statistically, males seem to make up about 25% of trafficking victims, and all the information I have seen seem to include underage boys in that category as well. Even with lower rates of reporting there is a much smaller market for grown men. Work crews are the only real market and that is fairly small compared to the markets that lead to child and women abductions.
