This is one of those double standards that really bothers me. Prostate cancer affects roughly the same percentage of men as breast cancer does for women, and yet it receives less than half the research funding dollars, and obviously an even lower percentage of donations since almost no major companies support "prostate cancer month."

The fact that the NFL - a male dominated organization with a huge male audience - did absolutely nothing to promote prostate cancer awareness last month while they're now doing everything to promote breast cancer awareness is enormously frustrating.

EDIT: Yes, I'm aware breast cancer also affects men, but at 1/100th the rate that it affects women (40,000 female deaths/year in the U.S. vs 400 for men.) My point was simply that if they're going to promote breast cancer awareness, it makes sense for the NFL to promote prostate cancer awareness too.
