Let's look at where the money they are requesting is allocated as per their own fund raising site. Only $1000. is for attorney fees, presumably because they have already collected enough to pay their lawyer. They are however requesting a substantial sum of money to fly, feed and put up in a hotel six people, (their team), who are not expected to testify and have no role at all in this trial. Six people watching are obviously not going to "fill the courtroom" or have any impact at all on the verdict.

We have six people on our witness list, we would also like to bring up the team to help fill the courtroom plus we have to cover the travel costs for our legal agent, Harry. This is a total of 12 people.

Budget: Accommodations(12 people): 3000$ Airfare: 7000$ Lost wages: 1000$ Per Diem: 2400$ Contingency: 1000$ Additional legal fees: 1000$ Total: 15400$

i kind of liked their little project when it first started, until it became the personal vanity project of the people involved and their heads all inflated. and this 'lawsuit' has been a cringe-fest from the start years ago. so, i'll not donate another cent to this shit.

This is not the Honey Badgers trial. This is Alison Tieman's case and only Alison Tieman's case. She is the only listed plaintiff.

The blog post says ath the top that the trial is 2017, but later that the trial is January 12-13 2016. Likely a typo, just thought you might want to correct that.

Women are far more generous than men. If this were a feminist cause, or even a more mundane charitable cause, they would have had no difficulty raising the cash from a similarly large audience like /r/MensRights has. My contribution? I upvoted.

If the Men's Rights Movement (MRM) is to succeed, it will need the support of women. Likewise, feminism owes its success to the support of men. Yin and yang. You can't have one without the other.
