Listen to this: The daughter lied and eveyone believed her. He was a teacher so the damage was multiplied immeasurably. He was convicted by the first criminal court and sent to prison. He appealed. Now, a judge- much more knowledgeable /s confirmed that he was guilty.

Some years later his daughter confessed that it was a lie that she was urged to say by her mother.

The fact that an 11 year old would know what being raped by someone, let alone by your own father, is is an awful realisation, but that she also knew that he would be horribly punished by police and still went through with it is indicative of someone with a heretofore undiagnosed mental illness issue and that really needs to be explored.

When I was around 14/15 a girl asked me out. I know her to be a bit of nutjob, and I had seen my mate have a lot of problems with her friend. So I politely declined.

About a week later people are looking at me weird. Then I hear it, shes told people that I raped her, I assume to get back at me for rejecting her. What happens next is months of police, school teachers and all sorts getting in face and calling me utter scum. I was attacked daily by people I didnt know, and by some I did. Friends werent friends anymore. I was the school rapist.

Then it spread to other schools. People I didnt know, people who didnt know me, but somehow pointing at me in the street with disgust. The violence aimed at me was daily. I won some fights, but really it was me getting my ass kicked by groups of people every day.

At some point she finally told the truth. The cops dropped it. And that started spreading round the school. So the daily attacks stopped. But heres the thing, no one ever said sorry to me. No one ever held her to account for what she did. Worse some people just think I got away with it, and to this day still think Im a rapist. I saw a girl from school years later as I was walking home from town. She started screaming at me. This was YEARS later.

No apologies from friends, or the randoms who attacked me every day. No apologies from the school or the police. All they said was "I can see youre very angry about this. But if anything happens to her, we'll know it was you.". Ill never forget that. My reputation ruined. Lost friends, beaten every day, teenage years ruined, education ruined, but their first thought at the revelation that she lied was still to view me as the aggressor in this drama.

Thankfully all of this happened before the internet became I thing. I cant imagine I would ever have gotten my life back on track if my name, maybe even picture was plastered everywhere next to the word rapist.

Rape ruins lives, sometimes forever. But so does falsely accusing people of rape. Now Im not saying the girl who did me wrong should have had jail time, but ffs, something. She did ruin my teenage years. Those are years Ill never get back. Those are years I spent alone in my room being fucking hated for something I didnt do. There has to be some kind of consequence for that. But there wasnt. She got to go on with her life, and got comfort from friends and family.

I don't think she is culpable for her actions as an 11 year old, although some charge could be made for the 5 years she witheld the truth as an adult.

The “police” and the “prosecutor” or “prosecuting attorney” are not the same entity. Your title is either accidentally misleading, reflects your ignorance, or is purposeful in its wording to create the false idea that law enforcement is giving this woman a free pass. Even your own article says it’s the PROSECUTOR who won’t press charges, not the local law enforcement.

That’s two separate offices. Two separate missions. Two separate scopes of power.

She was 11 when she did it though. You can't try an adult for the things they did as a kid unless it's within the statute of limitations. It's also incredibly concerning that she was "sexually active in second grade". She also was drinking alcohol in elementary school. I wouldn't call her a "wretched being". I'd call her a person who was forced to grow up too soon by her peers.

A 7 year old cannot consent to sex, even with another 7 year old. So she probably has been sexually abused, just not by her father.

If anything, the person who should go to jail is the adult judge who convicted her father with zero proof.

Yes, it is hard to convict in cases of rape as there are usually only two people involved. Yet, you cannot just trust the word of one party if multiple at least circumstantial evidence is not there.

The case It's really unfair and shows the lack of accountability on those cases but if we want to be taken seriously we must stop posting the same cases over and over again.

If the case has not been updated in two months and no new interviews or whatever have been posted please refrain from posting it.

It makes us look like all we do is some quick google search and post the most blatant cases.
After some selection bias, it's possible to make a case about anything... if you want to highlight the worst cases do a recopilation and ask for a sticky.
