After a hundred years of pretending as though feminism is a legitimate social science there is finally pushback. A right wing government in Hungary has denied public funding to gender studies.

They haven't banned it, just denied it tax payer funding. Feminists are understandably alarmed. Why gender studies in particular? Why not, say, sociology as a whole?

One answer can be found from Sweden (of all places). Two liberal psychology professors (one a woman) performed a meta analysis of gender studies and concluded that it is basically an unscientific fraud. Notably, they found that it was starkly unscientific in comparison to other social sciences (or real social sciences):

In conclusion, the present study has, for the first time, quantitatively evaluated several strands of criticism towards Gender studies in a representative sample. Critics from both inside and outside academe have questioned Gender studies in relation to scientific practice...Thus, the present study lends empirical support to the criticisms concerning ideological bias, both in terms of objectivity and choice of explanatory factors.

...The higher the level of gender perspective, the lower was the scientific quality for seven out of nine indicators.

...This would not be all that remarkable if Gender studies, with its heritage from the social sciences and humanities, were compared with the natural sciences and medicine. It seems quite remarkable when compared with other social sciences, however, which are nominally equally unconcerned with biological and genetic explanatory models.

Gender studies "has no business [being taught] in universities," because it is "an ideology not a science," a deputy to Hungary's prime minister, Zsolt Semjen, told the international news agency Agence France-Presse.

Gender studies professors around the world are growing nervous, and rightly so. They have profoundly altered society, they have power at the highest levels of government, and for the first time average people are starting to closely examine what they are teaching. People are beginning to realize that "gender studies" is unscientific and teaches hate against men and boys.

The "discipline" was founded by a woman -- Sally Miller Gearhart -- who literally advocated genocide against males. She coined the phrase "the future is female", recently repeated by Hillary Clinton after she was defeated by Donald Trump. Gearhart meant it literally: her utopia was a society in which males were reduced to ten percent of the population. It is believed that her idea came from the breeding of stallions.

For reasons that remain unclear, the most powerful men in the world funneled huge amounts of money into gender studies during the 70's and beyond. Most of it was channelled through the Ford Foundation. This is not a "conspiracy theory" but a matter of historical record. For some strange reason, the richest men on the planet decided that they wanted to give huge amounts of money to women like Sally Gearhart. Today, feminism is supported by the largest banks, corporations and international bodies in the world. JP Morgan? Goldman Sachs? The Council on Foreign Relations? The UN? You name them, they're feminists.

Gender studies professors are now in the strange position of claiming to be "oppressed" while simultaneously being supported by almost all of the great centers of power.

Feminists have a term called "benevolent sexism." It's their peculiar way of acknowledging female privilege. Essentially, they argue that female privilege is sexism against women, rather than discrimination against men. Thus, when men and boys are forced to fight and die in wars it's actually discrimination against females, because they are not viewed as sufficiently capable warriors. Insane? Yes. But these people now control most of our primary institutions.

One of history's greatest ironies: the only reason gender studies exists is due to "benevolent sexism". Precisely because men want to help and support women they have given these nuts a free pass in academia. They have turned a blind eye to blatant quackery. And now the lunatics are in control of the asylum.

There was a turning point of sorts with the work of Marija Gimbutas and Sylvia Federici, who have been discredited. They argued during the 70's that we used to live in idyllic matriarchies in which men and women worshipped the "mother goddess".

"Gimbutas' Goddess theories, like those of Velikovsky and Von Daniken, are belief-systems which, while enjoying a cult-like popularity among certain groups of laymen, are rejected virtually in toto by scholars who have worked in the field. They are classic examples of pseudo-science...Yet in spite of its rejection by scholars, the Idyllic Goddess theory has found enormous support among certain segments of the general public, because it appeals to their preconceived beliefs.

In essence, during the 70's and 80's men and women wanted to believe that the "divine female" used to run society. Those dastardly men then came along and spoiled everything. This, in essence, is feminism: the "women are wonderful" effect. It's all based on our biological tendency to value the lives and well being of women more than men. Is there a term in philosophy for a logical fallacy brought about by biological instinct? Because that's essentially what we're dealing with here.

Okay. So there is now a "global attack on gender studies", and it's about fucking time.

How are feminists responding? Predictably. They are playing damsel in distress.

Here's an article on these "alarming" trends:

"Yet even if the scale of the assault on gender studies in Hungary was shocking, the rhetoric was not. Gender studies scholars say what happened in Hungary is the most extreme manifestation of what seem to be growing attacks on the discipline as right-wing populist parties gain power or influence in many countries around the globe."

I have to chuckle at the word "scholars." "Gender studies" is approximately as credible as astrology. I would go further: astrology is more credible since it can be accidentally accurate; feminists get almost everything wrong. They have a strong tendency to be counter-predictive. So for example feminists predicted that their ideology would "liberate" women, but women/girls are unhappier than ever. They predicted that women would eventually occupy half of all fields in STEM; instead, countries in which women have the highest degree of choice have stronger sex disparities in traditional male/female occupations. And so on.

The article claims that the current "attack" against gender studies is being spearheaded by the far right. This is accurate. However it is wrong to suggest that only the far right has issues with feminism; they are just currently the only group of people brazen enough to point out that the empress is naked (and I say that as someone who is sympathetic to some far left ideas). Anti-authoritarian leftists have been essentially excluded from the conversation.

As noted, the two Swedish psychology professors who essentially debunked gender studies were liberals. So it isn't just people on the far right. But these feminist man hating psychos (bankrolled by billionaires) have essentially co-opted what passes for the left, and men are frightened of speaking out because they don't want to be accused of being anti-woman. It's clever: the male gender role is rooted in protecting women, and feminists viciously exploit this tendency while simultaneously claiming they "oppose traditional gender roles."

Here's the reality: if feminists were attacking any other group except men they would be recognized as appalling bigots. "Gender studies" if applied to eg Jews or blacks would be "kike studies" and "nigger studies".

But take heart. People are waking up. There used to be "Eugenics studies" in every major American university. They taught young men and women that disabled people should be eradicated from the gene pool. As with feminism, the most powerful men in the world bankrolled these ideas. Rockefeller, Ford, Morgan etc. It culminated in Nazi Germany. Hopefully we won't have to see atrocities on that scale before "gender studies" is put to rest. Under no circumstances should feminists receive any public funding. Let them spew their hate -- but don't do it with my tax dollars.
