Here's the thing, he's guilty of at least being corrupt.

Everyone knew the "casting couch" was real and likely resulted in many women reaching fame and fortune that shouldn't have gotten it by sucking it out of greasy fuckers' dicks. Imagine all the other industries that might have been quietly infiltrated by such corruption, and how possibly pervasive that might be for each industry.

Let alone that he may have possibly sexually assaulted people, he's using his position as a broker to do what everyone suspects all broker-types of doing. And he got caught.

He's not innocent, but I have doubts his "victims" are innocent, either. Dealing with the corrupt will corrupt you, there's hardly an exception to that. Really, those women should be on investigated for accepting a possible sexual predator's bribe.

NOTE: what worked for Jian Ghomeshi was the fact that all three complainants were proved to be, at best, 'economical' with the truth. They all claimed things that were contradicted by 1. their own words and 2. their own changing stories. The judge never got to the point where he considered whether or not Ghomeshi's actions were criminal or not, because he found that all three complainants were untrustworthy, and so he discarded their testimony.

The judge in the Ghomeshi trial did not decide that the sex was consensual.

Now, this may be what happens in the Weinstein trial, but who knows. The Canadian system has its flaws, but judges are pretty immune to political influence, which is not always the case south of the border.

"Defense"? that's not a "defense", that's a fact and it is one of many that should exonerate him completely of all charges. Rape is a crime that leaves a ton of evidence behind, you're telling me he committed hundreds of rapes but the prosecution can't present ANY evidence of it? ahahahahaha.

He committed incredibly sleazy corruption of which the prostitutes fully partook in. Nothing more.

It's Ghomeshi all over again, chick obsessed with a guy eventually gets rejected, then decides first encounter was rape and sexual assault.

Weinstein is no rapist, just a horny guy who had tons of women throwing themselves at him to get an unfair advantage over rivals in some cases, others we're likely sexually attracted to his power and status.

Weinstein deserved to be fired for using company resources for paying for sex, but he deserves no further punishment as it's increasingly obvious he's innocent.
