This is why ststues of limitations exist, its not fair to throw accusations around 10 years after the fact, because 1. The defendant can't remember things clearly from 10 years ago, 2. Any reliable evidence that has not been directly recorded on video and perserved is going to be gone or too degraded to use.

But I guess that's why all the accusations appear to my knowledge to be a decade in the past, because if it was fresh there might be evidence showing this guys innocence.

How would one prosecute this guy, given the accusations date back 4 decades. Presumably no evidence except the word of the accuser? Genuine question. It seems anyone could throw any accusation at anyone whenever and its just he said, she said.
