I'm thinking maybe this is humour. But, nah.

It's just so stupid it's offensive to the concept of human intelligence.

"White men" are a demographic category. It's a statistical abstraction.

If there is such a thing as a fellowship of all white men, or a Patriarchy club, I wasn't invited.

Opposive to what they claim, their whole attitude fosters a divisive, us-vs-them state of mind: you either bow to their view of the world, or are the enemy.

I just don't understand what pop media is attempting to accomplish. Are they really trying to disenfranchise me? Why?

All it is doing is driving me away from supporting socially progressive issues. Basically, if I'm hated on for being me, why should I care if you're hated for being you? Especially given the joyous glee that these people seem to get from their malicious behavior.

Wow. They admit right in the video that (in their opinion) unless you were white, the USA was not a great country. That's pretty damned presumptuous. It takes a special kind of arrogance to speak for every non-white person's opinion about how they feel about the whole damned country.

Below is a link to the original video. It went up about 15 hours ago. So far comments and votes are still enabled. Currently there are about 500 upvotes, and roughly 19,000 down votes. The top comments are all very critical of the videos message. Who is taking bets about how many more hours it will take before MTV says, "Just kidding!"?

There is one thing I do like about MTV.

They provide an easy guide to political thinking and helps me determine how I should vote.

If MTV endorses a candidate, I know I should be voting for that candidate's opponent.
