I dunno... maybe the stigma that will never go away even after all charges are dropped? Maybe the fact that your life is destroyed the moment the false allegation is made because if you're a man you're guilty until proven innocent? You can't reason with this level of delusion.
I think that's likely true regardless of gender. But I think it's especially true when the accuser is a woman and the accused is a man, because of the women-are-wonderful effect. People are so quick to ascribe positive qualities to a woman and negative qualities to a man. You see it constantly. If a man hits a woman, everyone who sees it agrees that the man is the asshole in the situation. But if a woman hits a man, many people will wonder what terrible thing the man did to deserve being hit like that, and therefore the man is still the asshole.
The same thing applies here. When a woman accuses a man of sexual assault or rape, even if it is proven to be false, people will still think, "He must have done something wrong to provoke her into making up those accusations to get back at him". The notion that the woman is just the bad guy in the situation is unthinkable to so many people. So even if they fully admit that the woman made up the allegations, it still must be the man's fault somehow.
It's really scary how unwilling many people are to consider the possibility that the woman in a situation is the bad guy.
sorry you went through that with those people. it must have been stressful.
but I don't think the parents were being evil I think you even agreed that it is weird to take a picture on your own phone and ask for an email even if your intentions were innocent.
also the mum screaming, men are told not to help in those situations so maybe she jumped to the wrong conclusions.
did they hit you?
I guess you'll know next time not to talk to anyone that young for your own safety.
The parents were probably thinking of terrible cases like Sarah Payne and Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman. those stories are shocking. not to mention Jaimie Buldger.
I don't think you have worked in child protection and safeguarding. it is mainly not allowed to take a picture of someone's child without the parents consent.
even if you go to Center Parcs the holiday retreat you can't take pictures near the pool.
even if a woman did it.
even if they asked him to take a picture. the adult should know better.
being in a crowd doesn't make a difference. jamie buldgers killers took him when he was in a busy shopping centre.
i am very shocked but not shocked that i have been downvoted so much. if people haven't worked where ive worked maybe they don't get it.
Are you saying its prejudice for a mother to not want a man working in their child's nursery or would you say its the mother's right to choose who she pays to look after them and which nursery?
I never said women were innocent. look at Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. they were both evil.
Thank you for being compassionate and this is the last comment on this issue i will give.
even if it is prejudice to prefer women to babysit it is the mother's right to pick the person who is going to look after the most precious thing in her existence.
my sister paid for my mum to move into an apartment next to her and be a nanny. is she prejudice for picking her mum to be the nanny than a stranger?
who cares. that is her right. mothers are allowed to have preferences up to an extent.
some racist white women don't want a black midwife to deliver their baby. in that case, I would tell her she has the right to deliver her baby on her own and not expect a white midwife based on her racism.

erm i was trying to support you but at the same time say i get how the mum felt,
i even showed concern by asking if they hit you.
i wasn't there i don't know why you are taking it out on me. i just said i can see your side of the argument but also the parents.
