He could be a victim of domestic abuse (either by a male or female) who has encountered setbacks because of his gender when trying to get help from domestic abuse, or he/she could be a worker in the field of abuse support who has worked with male victims or are familiar with the issue.
My paper is about how the minority of victims of domestic abuse (men) still need support despite their lack of statistical presence, since of course that does not dictate their humanity or need of support. I am arguing that men need more support by abuse services as it is wrong that they are being turned away by most shelters because of sexism and that men-only shelters are being denied funding because of feminist ideology.
I don't know how accurate my facts and viewpoint are right now since I am still in the midst of researching, so I would appreciate the viewpoint of anyone who has experience in this field. I will be putting together a few questions soon and will probably opt for conducting the interview over email, but other forms of communication might work out too. Thanks for reading this!
