50% of all marriages end in a divorce and 80% of those 50% are ended by the woman, meaning 0.8*50%=40% of all marriages are ended by women compared to only 0.2*50%=10% of all marriages that are ended by men, that is 40% of married women will end their marriage compared to only 10% of married men who would do the same, that is 90% of married men will not initiate divorce but only 60% of married women will not initiate a divorce, which means that if you are a women wanting to get married you see in front of you a world where you have 90% confidence that the man won't decide to divorce you but if you are a man looking at the same world you see 60% chance, almost fifty-fifty, that the woman will decide to divorce you (and women with advanced degrees initiate divorces in higher rates than the overall female 40% bringing the chance for any man dating them of receiving from them a divorce notification to practically 50:50, or higher), and now add to those prospects the consequences of divorces for men compared to the consequence for women (women mostly ask when thinking of divorce, "will I find a new love", men mostly ask "will I end up in the street, or in prison, or poor, or isolated, or committing suicide"). If one player wants all the power they can have it but they can't expect anyone to want to play such a game with them.

I'm sure women would by running into marriages if they knew that while they provide 90% security that the relationship would last, men provide in return only a fifty-fifty chance that it would last while if it won't then they may end up in prison, the street, poor for good or isolated from their children indefinitely.
