I tend to upvote any kind of "Hey, r/MR isn't so bad after all" posts, since MR has such an image problem here on Reddit. If the sub gets mentioned elsewhere, comments about angry women-hating virgins are never far behind. So I'm thankful to people with egalitarian tendencies who come here with an open mind and see what this place is actually about.

I'd like that people don't upvote them to 400-500, but otherwise I don't see much of a problem with those.

I like when people do this. It shows that r/mr is'nt just a huge curcle jerk of Men saying "I hate women", "lawyer up" and "leave your bitch of a wife/girlfriend". It shows that the genuine, interesting and thought provoking content posted here, unlike what "some" other people think, actually matters and that mens issues matter because of that. I would never condemn someone for coming to us and saying that we've changed their mind, or that they now strongly believe in mens rights. I think this subreddit would suffer greatly if we did do that.

Totally disagree. I love seeing these announcements by women for reasons others, especially Hamakua, have already stated. This is not a forum for an academic journal but rather for a movement. Information matters but equally if not more important is political momentum.

Yes, absolutely we do. Spreading men's right info to other MRAs is no unimportant, but I think taking the extra time and effort to thank/nurture/appreciate/respect those few women who have the balls to post here will have a greater impact.

the posts might be annoying but the sentiment behind them is fantastic. women have dads, brothers, male friends, uncles, nephews, mentors, husbands, etc. that they care for. by more women being enlightened about how feminism = true oppression, more men are benefiting from it.

I really like those posts. This subreddit is, by necessity, filled to bursting with horrible, depressing, and infuriating subjects that often seem to show little prospect for improvement. I'm grateful for something that breaks up the darkness, even just a little. Don't underestimate the value of hearing someone say they believe in what you're doing, especially when- as is often the case with the issues we care about- it feels like almost no one does.
