My monthly payments were miscalculated due to an error in the wording of my order - the decree lists that I pay xx amount every two weeks, so I had been sending a check for the total amount for each month. I figured for four weeks out of a month and thought it was accurate, but apparently they were charging arrears for the last three days of every month. This totalled up to a couple hundred dollars over two years, so I had to go to court with the enforcement attorney to amend the language in the order so that sort of thing wouldn't happen again. They explicitly told me I wasn't in contempt and thanked me for cooperating, and the circuit judge told me right in front of the attorney I could continue sending in my payments by myself if I'd like to instead of having an income withholding. And wouldn't you know it, my next paycheck had the amount withheld. I called the attorney and asked her what was going on and she just said it was "standard language" they have to put in every order, even though the judge specifically stated I was not required to have such a rule enforced. When I reminded her of this she just said it isn't her issue anymore and to call my caseworker. It isn't a big deal but it pisses me off that these bureaucratic assholes think they can do what they please even if a judge states otherwise. Now when I call the caseworker I get a busy signal everytime, and to have it amended I would have to go back to court.

Tldr I get sick of being treated like I've committed a crime when I'm completely compliant.
