Judge James Heckerman had just granted Karli Jo Brown's request for a sentence reconsideration, suspending her two 10-year sentences for motor vehicle homicide by reckless driving. Brown was to serve five years of probation in Oklahoma, where she intended to reside.
Three days after being released from prison, Brown was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic assault following an altercation with her husband.
In court Monday, Heckerman revoked Brown's probation, ordering her to serve her original sentence.
"You used poor judgment in confronting your husband last weekend just like you used real poor judgment when you were driving that car that killed those two kids," Heckerman told Brown in court.
Investigators said Brown was speeding, texting and passing in a no-passing zone before the head-on collision near Red Oak, Iowa, in November 2010.
