Screw forcing the schools to conduct investigations on criminal actions, there was nothing wrong with the way it was before where if there was a crime you report it to the police and it gets investigated. If it doesn't get investigated properly we definitely need to correct that, but Title IX created many more problems than it solved.
Due process is a crucial right. Involving untrained and unelected administrators in cases that belong in court is only begging for miscarriages of justice.
Yes, but Title IX 'investigations' are not subject to any real legal scrutiny, to even call them investigations is wildly inaccurate, and nothing I've heard about them ever involved things like officer testimony or official forensic reports. Title IX investigations don't report to the police, they set up their own panel of school staff and listen to the accuser, and occasionally the accused, then decide who they think is telling more truth based on "a preponderance of the evidence". Furthermore, any and all judgments made in a Title IX sexual assault complaint can be rendered 100% without a criminal conviction, without an acquittal, without criminal charges period, regarding said complaint. So, as has already happened many times, a student (usually female) can raise a Title IX sexual assault complaint against another student (usually male) and have the male punished or expelled with zero evidence, zero tangible burden of proof, and utterly without legal precedent. Sexual assault, if it is to any degree that merits any sort of punishment, by nature must also be criminal, therefore every valid Title IX sexual assault complaint should FIRST be handled in criminal court.
I'm starting to wonder if our ancestors hundreds of years ago, before the modern age knew something we didn't. Maybe they were keenly aware of a woman's psyche or the effect of a woman's sexuality on men but it seems like every day we get more "modern" the more I think we had it right back then.

It's not men's issues that are the problem. It's the x-posting from r/mensrights as an attempt to goad feminists.
