I recently read these two articles about the new Michael Jackson documentary and the backlash from the documentary is very strong.

I would like opinions on this because for 1) the "BelieveWomen" ideal doesn't seem to be applicable in this situation; people don't want to "BelieveMen". And I've heard these specific men in the documentary previously said nothing happened to them but how many stories have we heard where women say nothing happened to them at first and then come out later on saying something did happen to them and that they lied out of fear of judgement, etc... and people believe them?

Or, 2) is this difficult because of MJ's status? But my next question to that would be, look at R. Kelly's situation...
