I was with a group of mostly dads in the pub recently and it was interesting that the only person who thought the role of a stay at home dad was a good idea... had no kids. The concept was rejected by every man there who has a wife and kid(s).

The only couple we could reference from our social circles experience who had tried it, the same old story played out. She went to work, he stayed home, she got resentful, slept with a coworker and then divorced him.

It’s a valid choice if it works for you as a family, do whatever you want, but I would strongly caution any man to really think it through before going down this road. It might be great for the kids but could easily be a disaster for your marriage.

Its a simple decision, who makes more money? If they make enough and like working and the other prefers to be a home maker then thats that. Couldnt care less if the home maker was a male or female.

Heres a real wrench for logic, what about a gay/lesbian couple lol does a gay couple suppose to both work and the lesbian couple both be empowered career women or both be home makers and get paid by…. ?
