"Men pretend to be hurt, they are faking it" (my auntie words)

My aunt just literally said that when men are beating each other they are just pretended to feel hurt

It's just a game, it's fake

and that the real thing is when women get beaten by men.

Because they get beaten in the house

I told her true facts based on real stats: men receive more violence than women. She got all angry at me and didn't believe me for saying that, and even told me that if I was at the power, the country would become terrible towards women(I'm not against women).

When I told her that women more often get beaten by men than men get beaten by women, all of sudden she accepted it. Anyways the percentage is low in most countries. I made her notice that violence against male gender DOES exist, and just because it happens less often it doesn't mean it's less noteworthy. I also told her that much of the violence received by men is done by men, BUT that doesn't mean that men should be categorized as bad, and it doesn't mean that awareness shouldn't be spread on that topic. Instead, we all know that on the news they more often post men doing violence on women, but what about men receiving violence?(by women as well as by men?). If you base the news on statistics you should put more men receiving violence, than women.
