I have a feeling he's only heard things about r/mensrights. Even if there was mindless feminist hate, that doesn't mean you agree with it. There's been a couple things I felt like were out of line in mensrights, personally, none that come to mind within recent memory, but there's plenty of other things that men don't get a fair share on that mensrights is all about, I.E.

genital mutilation
divorce
parental rights

and whatever else you can think of. This person threw a wild and unwarranted accusation at you, and was clearly uneducated about something or another. It seems to me that he was the bigot, and there's no arguing; you didn't tell a story, you posted a link, so there are no "sides," you showed very clearly what happened. People are too quick to judge and stereotype others based on the subreddits they frequent, and it's getting out of hand.

For what it's worth, you have my sympathy.

I would recommend eve university where you will have the chance to learn many things from experienced eve players and after that if you want to join a null sec alliance, many eve uni members join the graduates which is in razor alliance. I know that members from razor alliance will give lectures to members of eve university (I've given some). If I remember correctly, the corp ticker for the graduates is TGRAD. You could bum around in FW or even join a pirate corp there are plenty of other places you can go in eve. I know this is a bit off topic but I thought OP might like some ideas on where else he can go in eve.

If you're interested in gender issues you should read feminist blogs, this stuff is really elementary gender studies.

That made me put my head on the desk. Academics and Philosophers don't become popular just by publishing arbitrary pieces of opinion* (what blogs are). They become accepted and part of people's world-views only after their opinions are beaten to death by their audience. There's a reason texts of Descartes' meditations (and others) almost always include the critiques he received via letter and then responded to. Anyone who thinks that blogs, or any form of untested opinion is worthy of being a basis for belief is producing unfounded belief.

*They may do so once their name is famous enough though...ever the cynic.
