My Daughter Is Not Transgender. She's a Tomboy. "But when they continue to question her gender identity — and are skeptical of her response" Girl si #FreeToBeMe and transgender, but constantly pressured to conform to feminist ideology.
As a trans guy, I find this refreshing. There is a difference in your preferences and your identity. The girl in the article reminds me of myself when I was 7, only that as time went on I began to realize that I wasn't going to develop like the other boys and other things started to develop that I hated about my body.
Anyway, my point is that there are so many extreme views on transgender kids or kids in general with their expression. I'm glad this mom has good communication with her daughter so they can figure this out, and that's what families should do. The gender roles are so strict, honestly it's disgusting how unfair it is for little boys because it's so constraining on them, more so than girls. I think it's essential that we make more improvements as a society to give more freedom in what is considered masculine. It's completely ridiculous that girls have all this freedom of expression while boys and men do not.
