Online, everyone gets bullied. Ever been called an idiot online or over voice chat while gaming? I have. Yet women find a way to make it about them. Like how someone said they'd rape her during a game. I've been told I'd have my family murdered, that I'll be raped and shat on, etc. The difference between men and women is in how it's handled. Women bitch about sexism, men recognize it as competitive banter. Men are inherently more competitive than women... It's wired into our programming to compete.

And the kicker is that it's all part of the dominance-hierarchy to be attractive. It's like the looks-hierarchy women have to appear attractive. Women don't necessarily wear makeup for male attention, no. Men don't call other men pejoratives for female attention either. It's all about status, and how you appear in general. Sometimes, belittling others of your own gender gives you status. That's why female fashion is often seen as a catty game, where women consistently demean how other women look (to advance their own). And that's why men consistently demean other men's status online (to advance their own).

Unfortunately stats wont change their mind. Garauntee a response like the reason women are bullied less is down to the patriarchy. It doesn't matter if women are bullied less, more or the same it's still discrimination against women...

The only difference is men ignore it as the impotent rantings of anonymous children. Women apparently go into the fetal position and sob about how mean the world is to them

And no its largely not gendered the abuse women, received... it is general abuse and bashing, really the only way it becomes gendered is if you start calling women sluts, bitches etc... but as studies show most of that comes from other women, also are men held to same standard? When a man is called gay, a bitch, dick, etc is that gender abuse too? Why not?
