Crosspost "Society doesn't care about single dads..." from /r/unpopularopinion:

Court systems are notoriously in favor of the mother. There are numerous government programs (WIC, financial assistance with continued education, etc.) which are exclusively set up for single moms and not available to single dads. Dads account for 85% of child support payments and while a good portion of that is due to moms being far more likely to get custody in the first place, that explain the fact that when actually being on the hook for child support, moms pay an annual average of $3,500 as opposed to $5,450 from dads.

Pay attention on fathers' day to all the people praising moms. Then go give the same praise to a single dad on mothers' day and and see the reactions.
