Not sure this is a victory. The one brave officer who objected to this order, down a chain of command, has resigned. Those who remain will no doubt continue their sexist approach to the recruitment, training and promotion, ensuring the UK RAF transforms into a woke, inclusive failure.

It’s a victory fir anyone who beloved in non discrimination and/or the rule of law. Higher ups can’t just dictate policy that violates non discrimination law. Unlawful orders should be refused.

I was surprised to start reading the article and read "she". I guess if I guy were to do this he would be worse off than just resigning. Good for her though

Is this only for training within the RAF? Or for general recruitment into the RAF? I feel like they should give the best training and promotions equally among all forces who were recruited. But I'd be perfectly fine if they want to recruit more women into the military.

It's legal, people won't admit. They will vote me down and argue but they find themselves losing ground. States have a right to be racist an need sexist as they wish. They just get scrutiny when they do. They have to demonstrate a need. The narrative is all they need. White patriarchy is anti America and therefore states may use this as a basis for any law.

Successive governments have been challenging all three armed services - the RAF, the army and the Royal Navy - for years to improve their diversity statistics in what has traditionally been a predominately white, male profession.
It is a goal championed by defence chiefs.
The MOD has announced it aims to increase the ratio of female recruits coming into the Armed Forces in general to 30% by 2030 from around 12%.
The RAF is aiming to go further. It is seeking for the ratio of female air force recruits to hit 40% by the end of the decade - more than double the current level.
The target for ethnic minorities is to reach 20% of all air force recruits within the same timeframe, up from around 10%.

Where do they get these numbers?

Why not let those interested apply and take those who qualify? The 'goals' above will lead to sexist and racist preferences if they have not already.

"This direction is to make offers of employment to additional women and EM [ethnic minority] candidates solely on the basis of their protected characteristics and in preference to non-EM men who have successfully passed all selection criteria ahead of them," she wrote.

Carefully worded, but apparently the perceived problem this order was designed to allay is too many white men.
