The notion of "male privilege" is wholly in contradiction with reality:
in what society is the privileged class more like to be homeless?
in what society is the privileged class less successful and unfavored in the education system?
in what society is the privileged class treated more harshly in the court system?
in what society is the privileged class forced to work longer to earn a state pension?
in what society does the privileged class receive less healthcare researching and low income health options, despite already having shorter life expectancies?

You go to work while I raise the kids. What woman would let a guy stay home?

What guy would give up a promising career to change nappies and be told they are having an easy life

Me! Real work is hard.

I'm not being a jerk, this is a genuine question, have you looked after young children all day everyday on your own ever?
[–]bufedad 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Father of four.
Being a stay at home parent was a full time job before the invention of the dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, vaccum, and when all food was made from scratch by hand.
It's not anywhere near a full time job anymore.. Which is why women spend so much time watching Soaps, Oprah (well, not directly anymore), Ellen, etc... they have so much free time during the day that they have to find ways to fill that time.
Seriously, as jobs go... it's a cake walk.

I don't have kids so, that's my first caveat. But I have worked as a full time nanny, now I work in STEM and I must say that being a nanny was far harder work. Sometimes it was great fun, but I found it extremely demanding both physically and mentally and the hours were long. The housework was only a very small side of it, as you say, modern technology makes that part a breeze. At work I can eat my lunch in peace, go to the bathroom in peace and have stimulating conversations, the work is mostly interesting and rewarding. Childcare is rewarding in it's own way, but a lot of the time it is actually quite boring, I know I'm not the only one to say that. Looking after children at home is a really important job, and not an easy one. I don't think it should be considered a walk in the park or "not working". I do think men should be allowed and encouraged to stay at home with the kids/work part time and share the care. The thing is we actually don't know definitively why this isn't happening, we can speculate but it's hard to know. Is it because women are insisting on being the ones to stay at home? Is it that men are insisting that they go back to work? Is it because the couple decide that the parent who earns the most money goes back to work and this is more likely to be the man? Is it because "we've always done it this way" and women feel subconsciously at least that it is their job to parent and men feel that it is their job to provide financially?

I also work in STEM, and raising kids is easier.

How do you know if you're not a stay at home Dad? Or are you? Excuse me prying, I'm interested

Been there. Now I work in STEM.

I didn't know men were a class...

In order to attack men as privileged, they had to invent a new dynamic. it's called the derogation, out-grouping of men.
They framed the narrative. We have to defend in kind.

Class: a set or category of things having some property or attribute in common and differentiated from others by kind, type, or quality.

Here’s the funny part: privileged people don’t encounter or deal with people that tell them to check their privilege.
[–]DJ-Roukan 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Yep, every man since the inception of this country got his very own membership card when he turned 18, and a free white cross when that privilege suddenly expired in some random shit-hole around the world.
I hear that comment about Privilege, they get both rhetorical barrels emptied on them.
...and every man should act in kind, as I think we've all just about had enough of this nonsense.

I mean he’s right though

Removed by Reddit already. Let's go back to sulking.

Hey, I have a better idea. How about you go fuck yourself, and we continue to fight this battle for you since you have not the balls to stand up?
Sound good?
Isn't saying someone hasn't got the balls similar to telling someone to man up?
[–]DJ-Roukan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"Man up" is used to stop men from speaking up by shaming them, telling them to suck it up.
Speaking up against those that try to defame this movement, shame men back into silence, or attack them for being part of this movement is balls.
Big difference. Huge.

Take a chill pill buddy, it was just a joke
Who bit your big ass balls today?
[–]Photogoblin 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
With all these brigaders and trolls coming in, I understand how guys can get touchy.
[–]DJ-Roukan 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. No playbook defining the teams here so we just take em as they come...but I'm pretty sure we are all sick of the comments and patronizing.
Anyway, we move on.

Who bit my balls? Feminist, same one's that bite em every morning with their fly-by "misogynist", or "whiner" comments. Same people that piss in my Cheerios pretty regularly...so I take "sulking" jokes about as well as black folk take jokes about them.
...and I'm always chill. Did not raise an eyebrow. You fired a shot, I emptied both barrels on ya. How it works. No harm, no foul.

Isn't red pill an incel thing?

I will assume you are just ignorant. Short answer: No.
