It's the mentality of a hate movement. Collective guilt. If one outsider is guilty then they all are. That's why feminists spend so much time demonizing men in the past. In their minds, if they make people think men in the past were evil, it proves all men are evil, and therefore all men alive today should be punished for what their evil ancestors did.

Of course all the women are also descended of those same men, but let's ignore that.

Group identity. They blame the group for the actions of an individual without understanding that men don't choose to be men any more than women choose to be women.

You are born as a certain gender, skin colour etc.

They confuse that with movements like feminism etc where you actually choose to be identified with/as so you can be held at least partially accountable for the actions of the group.

That's the closest I can get to understanding them. Most of their logic is so flawed and full of holes if you had even a little sense you can come up with many counterarguments.

Same thing was said about Muslims in my country, by racists and nobody accepted that premise. These people (the ones OP mentioned) are in a place where men have been designated "the others" and so they feel it's justified. We need to look at people as human beings and not "women good, men bad".
