Yes, I've had the same thought a number of times.

Then there are also those high-earning women who are such slaves to their social conditioning that, when they can't find a suitable male partner who out-earns them, they choose to stay single and grow old alone rather than marry a great guy who just happens to earn less than they do.

Of course feminism is utterly preoccupied with the minor discomforts & inconveniences of such upper middle-class women, which is why we see endless articles about the plight of such lonely career women and how terrible it is that there aren't enough handsome, high-earning men for all of them.

Those articles never once mention that they have the option to make different choices and be happy. No, those successful women are apparently the helpless victims of a cruel patriarchy that's unfairly denied them the wealthier, higher-earning male partner they obviously deserve.
